The answer to this is fairly simple, YES the A-Vision Document Filing system does work on an Apple Mac computer. The software is simply accessible using the Internet browser, Safari in most cases for a Mac.

In fact, the server side of the Document Filing system can be installed on a Mac Server as well. We recently have installed the software in a full Mac environment whereas the server software was installed on an Apple OS X Lion Server.

So, whether it is a Windows server, Mac server or Linux server you prefer, we can make that happen for you.

Even though the A-Vision Document Filing system is a very easy to use system it does not have a shortage of features, in fact handy features supposed but customers are always considered to be implemented in the core system rather than as a customised feature.
The reason for this is very simple, firstly the specific client does not have to pay extra for the implementation of this feature and secondly quite often a wider group of users will benefit from features that makes the system even easier to use.

Here is a short list of our existing features -

• Dynamically configure document types.
  It is recommended to leave this to the system administrator.
  
  
• Dynamic assignment of document META data to document types.
  Not every document requires the same META data applied!
  It is recommended to leave this to the system administrator.
  
  
• Search for any entered META data.
  This makes sure you are able to find the documents.
  
  
• Add multiple documents at once.
  This feature is currently only supported for WebKit based browsers (Safari & Google Chrome).
  
  
• Add documents through a shared folder on the server.
  Just copy the files onto the shared folder and the system will check on a regular base for documents and automatically add them to the database.
  
  
• Assign META data using the document file name.
  Using a specific file naming structure allows the system to automatically assign META data to the system.
  
  
• Email attachment grabber.
  Each user on the system can have a special document filing email address assigned to their profile. By sending an email with attachment to the system using the users's document email address, the user will automatically be assigned as the owner of the document.
  
  
• Different user access levels.
  Using different user access levels the system can easily be used to store private user documents within the company.
  
  
• Audit trail.
  The system automatically keeps track of what is happening with each document, who views it or changes it.
